‘Black gold’
Chaga

Known for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties as well as its effect on the immune system, Chaga is well-loved by herbalists across the world. It’s a potent antioxidant as well as containing naturally occurring B complex vitamins and vitamin D. Chaga contains a higher proportion of antioxidants than just about anything else on planet earth (1,014 ORAC units per gramme, compared to 165 in Acai berries or 105 in pomegranates).

Fun fact: while it may look like a mushroom, it’s technically a conk, a hard woody mass of mycelium that grows out from a tree. It’s black due to a high content of melanin and sterile - it doesn't contain spores or help the fungus to reproduce.

Only the best will do

To ensure the best effect, we use organically grown Chaga that has been extracted in hot water, as done traditionally.
